Changes to Optus D3/10 Satellite Signal Parameters Impacting VAST Redistribution

Updates to the satellite signal parameters on Optus D3/10 will affect Satellite Headends that redistribute VAST services.

For WA VAST Headends, please note the following changes:

1. ABC WA Parameter Change (4th February 2025)
   The transponder carrying ABC WA will change its FEC (Forward Error Correction) from 3/5 to 2/3.
   • This change is not expected to impact VAST Headends like the Ikusi HTI-424 or FLOW, as these systems feature Auto FEC functionality.
2. SBS WA Bouquet Transponder Migration
   The SBS WA bouquet will move from Optus D3 Transponder #5 (11886V) to Optus 10 Transponder #8 (12567V).
   • A dual illumination period is planned from 13th March 2025 to 30th June 2025, ensuring a smooth transition.

Important Note:
These changes will not affect VAST-certified Satellite Receivers such as Altech UEC, Satking, or Humax.
